You don't need to pay for digital tools.

Creators spend massive sums of money on Adobe subscriptions and expensive software.

Sometimes it's absolutely worth it... sometimes it's not.

I've come to the reluctant realization that I need to upgrade to the paid version of DaVinci Resolve after 6 years of cinematic videography.

For me, at this point in my career, it's absolutely worth it! But most creators buy the best gear and software on DAY ONE!!

Learn on the free open source software and upgrade only when it is right and proper to do so.
