Let's talk about framing.

Leading lines simply means that one or multiple elements of a photo are creating lines that frame or point to the subject.

In this case, the buildings and the street create lines leading directly to the monument, and the vertical lines of the buildings create a framed space for the monument to pop out from the sky.

Using leading lines makes it far easier for your viewers to immediately understand what they're looking at.

Failure to use leading lines creates just enough friction for the human mind that your potential viewer will likely scroll right past you.
